SUPPORTING CHARITIES
DOING WHAT WE CAN

At IPP JOULES we do what we can to make a difference in the way we support national and international charities. We become directly involved, to understand the challenges, so we can then make a positive contribution.

In order to make our contribution worthwhile, we focus our support on a few charities rather than spreading ourselves too thin. ipp joules is currently involved in the UK with the Careline Appeal, where Bob Cottell is the current Chairman. Internationally we help with fund raising for Grace Secondary School in the Sudan. Both charities are very worthy causes.

The Careline Appeal aims to support local people in maintaining their independence within the community, by sponsoring the rental and monitoring of a special Lifeline unit. The Careline Appeal assists the elderly, the disabled, the terminally ill, victims of crime and domestic violence and more recently child carers.

Careline puts on a number of events during the year to raise funds - come along if you can make it.

Grace Secondary School is opened in May 2010

Built in Kadugli a remote area in the Nuba Mountains in the centre of Sudan, Grace Secondary school is now open with 120 pupils eager to learn.

The appeal has raised over £100,000 to build the school and now will continue to raise funds to manage and expand this school facilities.

There was a great opening ceremony attended by people from the area and the church. The enthusiasm for education is inspiring.
